What is the cheap way to get ebooks for the nook ereader? This is a question I struggled to find an answer to for many months after purchasing my nook colour ereader, for a long time I resigned myself to buying ebooks from Amazon and the Barnes and noble online stores where I was paying anything from $5 to $20 for every ebook I downloaded for the nook. This was not an ideal situation and drove me mad knowing there must be better ways to get ebooks for the nook. The first recommendation I will make is for a little known website called Scribd, Scribd is an online library that allows anyone to publish ebooks and PDF papers free of charge so that anyone in the world can access them, it is indeed one of the beauties of the internet allowing users from anywhere in the world access to book and ebooks free of charge, while the service has some drawbacks, mainly that a lot of the works are published by companies selling their own software and services and write long articles to accomplish this and that some of the online ebooks can be loaded with spy-ware and mal-ware programs that can cause havoc on your ereader or computer. This being said the positives outweigh the negatives by a long way and some really good books and novels are available for free of charge if you search long and hard for them.
The next Recommendation I will make is to search out your favourite authors online and find their personal websites, by doing this you can often find authors who give away some of their works free of charge and discounts on new books they are releasing, I really enjoy this method as i know the author is getting paid directly for ever book I download and often books got in this manor are available at a discount to the RRP.
The final solution and best of the bunch for cheap nook ebooks is a service called Nook Ebooks, this is an online site that for a one off membership fee will allow members access to a enormous library of around 40,000 ebooks and novels, once you are a member you get un-metered access to every book in the library so you can literally download a hundred ebooks a day from the site and not worry about anything but the one off fee for your membership. Currently the site has a special offer of just $20 for membership which is not limited to a month or year like some services but a lifetime membership fee. Meaning I personally have saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars already and save more every time I download an new ebook onto my nook. I cannot recommend this service enough and everyone I send there agrees what a great find it is.
I hope the recommendations i have made saves you a lot of time and money like it has me as I no longer feel I am paying too much for my ebooks and have access to nearly unlimited works and content using the above methods.
