For those living with life changing chronic conditions; those who provide professional services for people living with chronic conditions.?

Attorneys from a variety of practice specialties will discuss common legal issues of special importance to people with life-changing chronic conditions. The half-day seminar will conclude with a round-table Q & A to address specific questions by attendees. A diagnosis of any chronic disease may carry a variety of legal issues, including concerns about access to health care and government benefits, employment discrimination, financial solvency, and consideration of health care directives and living wills. These legal issues can be overwhelming and cause people unnecessary worry, confusion, and stress. Open to those with chronic illness, supporters, as well as those who provide professional services for people living with chronic conditions, this seminar assembles experts in many legal areas of concern to provide insight and expertise on issues confronting those with a life-long illness. The seminar is free, but pre-registration is required to attend. Deadline for registration is September 27.
