Justin Verlander: What can you really say about Verlander that hasn?t been said already? The guy has been unbelievably dominant and you ask that Elias fellow you?ll see that he?s done some pretty remarkable pitching. In June he went 6-0 with a .92 ERA and went over 7 innings in every start.? The Angels have also allowed 12 FanDuel points on average to pitchers in the last 30 days. If you can afford him, he?s as much of a lock as you can find.
Wandy Rodriguez: WandRod has been getting it done of late going 5-1 in his last 9 starts with a 1.77 ERA. The Pirates aren?t as rotten as usual, but they are still middle of the pack.
Cole Hamels: The Marlins are just rotten right now. In the last month pitchers that have faced them are averaging 13.6 FanDuel points a game. That ain?t too bad. Oh, and Cole Hamels is quite good.
Felix Hernandez: He hasn?t been his dominant self, but his less than dominant self is pretty dominant. And when he faces the light hitting A?s (no, that doesn?t mean they are so good they can hit light) he is 11-4 with a 2.61 ERA. And just this year he has faced them twice and won both times giving up 2 runs.
Lance Berkman: Big Cougar is at it again. He?s 5 for his last 17 with 4 homers and 7 RBIs. 18 of his 22 homers have come of righties and he?s batting .308 as a lefty vs. .266 as a righty. Edinson Volquez happens to be a right hander and Berkman is 3 for 8 off him with 5 walks.
Ryan Howard: Chris Volstad has been pitching well lately, but he gets absolutely hammered by RyHo. He is 12 for 24 off him with a staggering 7 home runs.
Robinson Cano: Cano is 8 for his last 23 with 3 doubles and 3 triples! He is also 2 for 3 off Carlos Carrasco.
Adam Lind: Lind has faced Jon Lester 18 times and only managed 3 hits and 8 strike outs.
Aaron Hill: Like Lind, Hill has trouble against Lester, but his number are even worse at 2 for 32 with 9 K?s. Steer clear.
Billy Butler: Moobs owns Jake Peavy, and not on his fantasy team. He?s 4 for 10 off Peavy, which is good, but he has 3 home runs out of those 4 hits.
Victor Martinez: Paying the money for VMart is nothing like shopping at KMart, this dude is Brooks Brothers and well worth it. He is 8 for his last 24 and 9 for 18 against Dan Haren.
Ronny Paulino: He doesn?t get that many starts, but has been hitting well when he does. He is 6 for his last 11 and faces Ted Lilly who he is 8 for 16 against with 2 homers. Hopefully that will get him in the starting lineup.
