Anti-Supernatural Creature Organization

So. We've all seen perhaps several dozen or so roleplays about people who are mythical creatures or have magical powers. A lot of us complain, "What's wrong with regular humans?" Heck, a lot of those roleplays allow regular humans, but it's not exactly an even playing field, then. The supernatural creatures will all just dominate and be a bunch of freakin' Mary Sues unless they're played by a very good roleplayer. A lot of these RPs have some sort of evil organization that's trying to wipe them all out for some poorly-defined reason. This usually makes a crappy roleplay.

So, how do you make a not-crappy roleplay? Flip it on its head!

The basic idea behind this roleplay would be that primary characters are all a part of a secret organization dedicated to protecting people from and hiding mythical creatures, the majority of which are aggressive or even predatory towards humans.

This as-of-yet unnamed organization would be run by a group of individuals, a Board. The boardmembers would not all agree. They would have different motives, even differing goals from one another. Perhaps one is a religious zealot who wants to wipe all the monsters off the face of the earth while the other is a hippy who believes in just capturing creatures, and only those who have posed a great threat to humanity. In addition, the members of the board are not all widely known to the members of the organization. Some may skulk in the shadows and do things behind the others' backs. Regardless, all members of the board are very wealthy, very respected, and generally well-educated, especially in matters of the supernatural.

The Board may have a few OCs, but most of the RPers will be hunters. Hunters are deployed by the Board, or perhaps even just a certain member of the Board, to capture, kill, investigate, or cover up a mythical creature. They are supplied by the wealthy Board in whatever way necessary to carry out their mission, but most also have personal supplies. Hunters are somewhere between full-time employees and bounty hunters. They are directly selected for missions, but a hunter can turn down a mission. Doing so will result in steep drop in their reputation, and if a member of the board takes it personally, perhaps more violent repercussions. Usually, a hunter takes any mission, if only for the massive reward that the Board usually offers. Some hunters may specialize, by hunting a common creature (Vampire Slayer) or an extraordinarily dangerous creature (Dragon Slayer), but most are general hunters with knowledge on all common creatures. Besides which, the Board usually offers enough information on the mission as help. Even specialists will take easier missions that don't deal with their specialty when needed.

Finally, the organization has massive numbers of informants. Informants are stationed in areas known for relatively heavy supernatural activity, as well as in high population centers, to look out for any signs of monsters. When they find something, they report it to the Board. Many hunters may work as informants when they are not on a particular mission, but most informants are just regular people with little skill and knowledge. Most people will probably not play informants, as they will only play a small role, and if they play a big role, they will only be a big part in a mission or two.

In addition to the organization's members, some of the monsters may be played by non-GM players. In this case, however, they will be completely temporary, expendable characters. Unlike other characters, the player cannot request that a monster not be killed (except in certain, GM-sanctioned circumstances). Indeed, they are expected to be killed in the mission they are introduced in. There may be recurring monsters (an intelligent vampire that escapes, a dragon that overpowers its hunters) but they will all eventually be killed. To start off, all monsters will probably be played by GMs for the first mission or two so that I can get a feel for who might make a good monster-player.

I am looking for what some might call "semi-lit to literate" players. You should have a good grasp of English spelling and grammar. You should be able to write two to five good paragraphs, maybe more depending on the scene, pretty much never less. I am not a phenomenal writer, but I don't want shitty RPers.

I would also be looking for fellow GMs to help develop ideas and run stuff. I have no GM experience, so finding an experienced GMs to help with this would be awesome.

So, anybody interested? Anybody have some suggestions?

---When I see an RP where "You get to control an element, we'll start when we get one person for each element..."
I submit a detailed bio of a man who can control Californium.
When it's rejected because they "don't know what that means,"
I reply that "I don't think I'd like to play in an RP with at least 118 players anyway, come to think of it."'
---Don't troll on the al-Qaeda message boards. You'll probably get Talibanned.
