The crazies are on a roll - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

That sounds so familiar to me, but my situation was someone trying to make their life seem so much harder when it really, really wasnt.? When Nate was going through his induction and transplant, a friend/coworker of mine had a husband who had just joined the marines, and he was off at boot camp. Keep in mind, I was pregnant at the time. So I would basically keep a lot of my feelings to myself, I didnt want to talk about it at work or have people think I was complaining and so on. So my friend, she would sit in her cubicle and literally cry ALL DAY LONG about how much she missed Rob. It was so terrible; he was gone and she couldnt see him and now he's a marine and she's a marine wife and she's so lonely and cant sleep without him and she knows he must be going through hell at boot camp. All the time, I didnt say a word. Nate was in the hospital, possibly dying of cancer for all we know, away from home while I was pregnant, and I spent my coffee breaks and lunches comforting her and listening to her complain. Like, seriously...who complains about something that someone CHOSE TO DO and that is certain to end in 12 weeks, so someone like me. One day I finally had enough of it, and I said "Well, at least he doesnt have cancer." She went off about how she doesnt think one is worse than the other (SERIOUSLY?!), and we havent talked since; it's been almost a year and a half.

?

Some people, i swear...
