People detained on charges of setting up illegal VoIP service ? Iran ...

Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mahmud Khosravi, said that communications channels are monitored and supervised on a daily basis and that the judiciary deals with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) smuggling to the tune of USD 40 million annually. Khosravi maintained that many people and managers of companies that have inflicted huge losses on us (Iran?s Communications and Information Ministry) have been detained or are facing prosecution. He added that Iran is seeking a technical solution to fix this problem.?
